Reverse Refashion: Part II

Following my recent trend as shown previously here, here's another old dress worn backwards and made new... I forgot to mention last time that the exception to being able to do this is if your dress or top has bust darts!

1920s Hat Box

Here are some thrifted hat finds along with a vintage hat box from the 1920s- a thrift find my Aunt Sandy found and gifted me. (I know this because there was a newspaper fragment in the bottom of the box that dated from the 20s). What a find!

Reverse Refashion

This was a dress that I was so sick of... I almost gave it away then I decided to just turn it around backwards! This is something I've done before then forgot about, now I'm doing it all the time! If you have a dress (or top) that's either too low, too casual, or too blah then try flipping it around. You will get the beautiful higher neckline in the front and the dip in the back (so 30s!)

Outfit Snaps

Quick outfit snap before work- wearing my thrifted dress I forgot about. It was one of those cheapy looking things that didn't look like much till I tried it on and buttoned the collar up all the way. Im seeing a little 30s inspiration here!

Empress of Fashion

I had a phone disaster yesterday (dropped in toliet!) and I had tons of photos that may be lost! So for now, here are some iphone shots that I found on my husbands phone. You may recognize the dress and shawl from other photos- this is another look I did for a friend's birthday dinner out at my favorite local Thai restaurant- Saigon! The only difference is the accessories and hair. I like that this look has a bit of a Roman empress feel to it. (I would have worn gold jeweled sandals if only I had them- still trying to find the perfect pair I can afford or may do a gold leaf DIY)!
