Just a quick snapshot of my friend Mary and I at her antique store- Mary Parker Antiques during my visit to Mobile last weekend. We were kind of channeling The Beales, although I do realize that we are matching way too much to pull that look off (we threw on the closest wearable items we saw for a quick cameo on the way out)! Speaking of Grey Gardens, which I utterly adore and am inspired by, it's definitely due time for another watch. Have you guys seen the sequel as well? It's great.
I will share a few more photos soon of us having fun in her store with antique treasures so stay tuned...

Found Objects: Bulova Watch Box
I promised myself not to buy nic-nacs but I don't think it counts if it is both beautiful and functional, right? Here's a gorgeous vintage 1950s Bulova watch case I got for a steal at Wright Square Antiques. I adore the faded coloring and now its displayed in my bathroom where it houses my hair pins!

Miss Havisham
Hi Guys!
This is a photo I entered for a vintage fashion photo shoot contest by Still The Lovely. I just found out about this contest and its based on # likes so I'm trying my best anyways :) Read on for my inspiration and how to vote...
I'm wearing an Edwardian tea gown that has been in my family. My mother actually wore it when she got married. I was inspired by the decaying look of this house facade down the street from me in Savannah and I wanted to combine it with something ethereal and white. Sort of a Miss Havisham inspiration if you will! The hat is thrifted and I pinned ivory hydrangeas on it that I already had as part of a floral arrangement.
Photo by my husband- Dylan Wilson :)
