I went yard-saling yesterday in a serious way (aren't most yard-salers pretty serious about it??) My dad went along with me- we started at 7:45 am and didn't stop until he made me!!! How considerate of me! Here's what I got...
|
- The softest 3 piece vintage pj set- $1 (the top may become my new favorite shirt!)
- Parasol (small torn slit but do I care for 25 cents??)
|
|
- Vintage seafoam nightie - 50 cents
- Lace doily etched dish -free gift with purchase (love this for organizing toiletries on bathroom sink)
- White satiny fabric I plan to drape as a skirt and puddle to the floor 30s style- 50 cents
- Petticoat -$4
- Asymmetrical lacy valence I will likely wear as a sarong- 25 cents
- Sweet pink & blue vintage bed jackets- $1 each
|
|
- Feather toque hat (so 1910s)- $10 splurge
- Flapper style dress- $2
- Blue straw hat with upturned brim- $1

So, I think I just found a reason to wake up early on Saturdays. And thats saying a lot if you know me!
I'm speechless, what a fabulous haul! That feather hat makes me go weak at the knees and I'd totally wear that sea foam nightie, tiered petticoat and bed jackets as day wear. How cool is your Dad? x
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting Vix! I was feeling pretty elated about all the finds too! My dad was such a good sport to come along but he totally couldn't understand when I said I may wear the lingerie as outerwear!!!
DeleteHave to agree with Vix - amazing finds! I love it all, and makes me wish even more we had yard sales here. (Although I do have a hard time getting out of bed for car-boot sales. Hmm). The feathery hat, nightwear, and parasol are especially awesome. Thanks for linking up x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lakota! :)
DeleteOh my goodness, you must live in the mecca of all yard saling areas! To find not just one or two, but several vintage garments in one morning is nothing short of amazing/unheard of these days (well, at least up here in Canada). I'm delighted for you and hope that you have just as much ongoing success throughout the rest of the season.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your splendidly nice comment on my vintage rainbow outfit post this week, dear Jenn, I really appreciate it and hope you have a beautiful Wednesday!

Jessica- Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. I was feeling pretty surprised too by all these vintage finds- especially all the lingerie stuff at one place! Funny thing is, it was a sale we drove by and I yelled to my dad- STOP!!!
