Uniform Whites

Here's what I wore to work recently for a special event... I did my best to interject a little punch into the basic white separates we were to wear. I actually really like these white pants- they have the cutest little silver buttons on the front sides sailor-style! Wish we would of gotten a pic!

Miss Havisham

Hi Guys!
This is a photo I entered for a vintage fashion photo shoot contest by Still The Lovely.  I just found out about this contest and its based on # likes so I'm trying my best anyways :) Read on for my inspiration and how to vote...

I'm wearing an Edwardian tea gown that has been in my family. My mother actually wore it when she got married. I was inspired by the decaying look of this house facade down the street from me in Savannah and I wanted to combine it with something ethereal and white. Sort of a Miss Havisham inspiration if you will! The hat is thrifted and I pinned ivory hydrangeas on it that I already had as part of a floral arrangement.

Flowers in the Wind

I found this huge bit of fabric at a local thrift store recently and knew I could do something interesting with it! The color made me think of doing a strong color blocked look. I love how the wind created these beautiful organic shapes- almost like flowers!

A Midnight Beauty

I adored the faded coloring and beautiful writing, plus it was an absolute steal so it went home with me...

Here's my 90s bathing suit I wore out as a romper. I couldn't resist as the shorts are not too short! I also like that the stripes remind me of a lot of 1920s bathing suits.

Time Traveling: Take Two!

Here's a quick outfit change I did from my post here- to a more casual fun look. I just removed the coat, switched the silk scarf to my neck, added a belt and sun hat.
